To create a user friendly dashboard for teachers to find and book PE lessons / courses that are relevant to their curriculum and skillset

Solution

Easy to navigate dahsboard layout, seeing personalised lessons that are relavent to courses booked previously. PH Actived branding was used to create a product feel teachers are used to. Specific brand colours were linked to each section.

How this helped

Cognitive load was increased through the use of the colours being connected to individual sections. Bookings will increase as users build trust with the speed of the booking process.

Making active learning accessible

PH ActiveEd, based in Melksham and a provider of sports coaches, clubs and holiday camps to primary schools. We developed an online membership Portal for primary schools who want to access resources, events and training courses related to PE and active learning.

Iteration and Delivery

The platform evolved through continuous iteration informed by real constraints in primary schools. Early assumptions about feature breadth were challenged by stakeholder feedback, revealing that speed, clarity, and reassurance mattered more than volume. Each iteration prioritised measurable outcomes - reduced planning time for teachers and clearer assurance for school leaders - leading to simplified navigation, stronger content curation, and clearer signals of value. The final delivery reflects these learnings, demonstrating how focused iteration can turn insight into practical, repeatable impact rather than surface-level functionality.
